Traditional White Bread
2 1/2 cups bread flour
1 cup warm water
1 tsp rapid yeast
1 TBS sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 TBS EVOO
Directions:
place yeast and sugar in medium size bowl then add water stir let sit for 15 minutes until yeast foams then add salt EVOO and flour and mix until all comes together. Cover bowl with cloth and place in warm place out of drafts until dough doubles in size. Punch down and place on floured surface and kneed dough for 5 min and form into a loaf and place into a greased loaf pan and cover with cloth and place on top of you stove and preheat oven to 350 Degrees when dough rises to the top of the pan place in oven until golden brown about 30 to 40 minutes. remove from oven and place on rack and brush top of loaf with butter or lard and let cool.
